Learn the basics of belly dance from one of the islands premiere instructors, Nelleke of the Garden Nile Belly Dancers.

In this 6 month course, we cover basic moves, veil and zill (finger cymbal) techniques and dynamic original choreography.

If it was love at first hip drop and you feel like you are hooked, come join me and kick it up a notch with fun in the world of belly dancing. In this class we will dive further into movements, combinations, transitions, stage presence, and choreography. This class will give you a strong foundation to move forward in the preparation of your own original choreography. Join me on Mondays at 5:00 pm. Be there with bells on.

In this class we cover a variety of techniques including zills, shimmies, graceful hands and arms, sizzling combinations, traveling steps, proper stage entrance and exits, and improv dancing. Mastering these techniques will give you a fun and effective way to produce a routine that will have your audience cheering for more.

Learn exciting original choreographies set to various belly dance styles such as traditional egyptian, american cabaret, saidi, and more. Zills, veils, cane, swords, wings, fan veils, and floor work are incorporated into many of the routines. Attention to body posturing and learning to connect with the audience are highly emphasized in this class. Let's captivate the audience and have them chanting "Hana Hou".
